Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the iOS app By-Pass – Der Sonnensystem-Simulator (hereinafter “app”). In short: the app does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. The details are explained below. Regarding terms such as “processing” or “controller”, we refer to the definitions in Art. 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Controller
Appnö GmbH
Erkrather Str. 401

No data collection
The app works entirely offline on your device. It requires no user account, does not establish any network connections to us or to third parties, and contains no analytics, tracking or advertising functions and no third-party SDKs. We therefore receive no data about you or your use of the app.
Data stored locally on your device
The app only stores two settings on your device: whether the introduction shown on first launch has been completed, and whether the background music is switched on. These settings contain no personal data, never leave your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
Screenshots and access to the photo library
If you take a screenshot in the app, it is saved to the photo library on your device. To do this, iOS asks you for permission to add photos. The app cannot read, view or modify existing photos. The permission can be revoked at any time in the iOS settings (Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos).
Screen recordings
Video recordings are created with Apple’s screen recording function (ReplayKit) and contain only the picture and sound of the app. The microphone is not used. After the recording ends, iOS shows a preview in which you decide whether to save, share or discard the video. The recording remains on your device; if you share it, this is done at your own initiative via the iOS share sheet, and the privacy terms of the recipient or service you choose apply.
App Store and Apple
The app is distributed via Apple’s App Store. Data processed when downloading or updating the app (e.g. your Apple Account, payment and device data) is processed by Apple under its own responsibility; please refer to Apple’s privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy. If you have allowed iOS to share analytics data with app developers (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may provide us with aggregated, non-personal statistics and crash reports. We only use this information to improve the stability of the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
This website
When you open this page, the web server processes technical access data (e.g. IP address, time of access). Details can be found in the privacy policy of our website.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). As the app does not process any personal data about you, we generally hold no data to which these rights could relate. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), e.g. the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
Changes to this policy
We will update this privacy policy if the functionality of the app changes. The current version is always available at this address.
